The background of these photos are that they were taken in Plains, at Jimmy Carter's Boyhood Farm. The Boyhood Farm is a national park and an educational center about how President Jimmy Carter had lived during his time as a boy. Jimmy Carter was born during the Great Depression, and his family had very little and grew what the could to survive.
At the site, they had dioramas of meals setup in his family home, and in the general store they had fake hanging meat, vegetables, and products out for display. A lot of my themes centralize around food, so including fake food trying to perceive itself as real for it's time was very interesting to me.
